Merry Christmas

I am ready to give birth at any moment so we decided this was a good year to start staying home for Christmas. I was excited to start our own traditions but a little concerned that it wouldn't seem as exciting for my kids since they are used to having tons of family around to celebrate. It turned out fabulous and everyone seemed to have a great time!!

We put up the gate so they couldnt sneek out and peek ...haha:) They were not amused! Especially when we went and took pics before they messed everything up...

We took turns tearing into everything and they LOVED every minute of it!!

Wiseman and Brother gifts Christmas Eve

We really like the idea of doing Wisemen gifts for Christmas. It keeps the true meaning in mind while still being fun but we also really love SANTA!!! :) So we do Wisemen gifts (a want, a need, and a read) on Christmas Eve. They are the presents from Mom and Dad (of course they get matchy jammies too) so they get a little moment in the spotlight before Santas gifts are all a fun surprise on Christmas Morning. I only ended up with pictures of their need (new sheets and bedspreads) and their jammies for some reason?

Rags To Riches

Noah was in Opera Club this year and he LOVED it! They wrote their own story and then turned it into music they wrote themselves and then put together a play of it. They even came up with the costumes! They did such a great job that they were invited to perform at the Capital Building in February! How cool is that!

 

 Noah played a poor homeless boy. It turned out to be a really good thing thats the part he chose because he was so so so sick. He had missed school for the previous 4 days and still came (totally drugged) to do his performance. It made it pretty easy to play a poor sick street child:)

 He struggled a little with the dancing on stage part... he was dizzy from all the cough medicine (whoops)

 Poor sick little thing...but he still did such a great job!

 So relieved to be able to sit back down
