Sending 2011 out with a BANG!!

The boys were so excited about their new beds. Keith and I were just waiting for the first bunk bed injury to occur!! We didn't have to wait long...
Noah attempted to come down the ladder backwards and lost his grip. He fell and hit his face on the railing on Eastons bed. If you look closely you can tell that his teeth came all the way through his cheek:( I heard a bang and went into the room. Noah was just standing there with a painful look on his face. I got there fast enough that it hadn't started to bleed and he hadn't realized that it hurt yet. That didnt last long though..as soon as he screamed the blood came rushing, and we were off to the ER.

Starting to numb it up. He is being so brave!
All stitched:( Just 2 stitched on the outside. They said the hole on the inside was small enough to wait and see if it would heal on its own.
So swollen!! He looks like a little chipmunk storing food in his cheek:(

He had to tolerate the band-aod on his face for a couple days to keep medicine on it. He didn't love it but was glad that his Aunts had found Angry Bird band-aids for him for Christmas:)
He hung on to his "bracelet for a few days:)

A few days later...the swelling has gone down a bit and he has decided he likes his battle wound. Easton is also sick of all the pics we have taken of Noah and not him, so we had to get him in there too:)

Ski Day

Papa Hey works at the Canyons ski resort that they live by. So we got to take advantage of some "Family Passes" and take the boys skiing! Noah has been skiing for a few years now but this was Eastons first shot. He is a little young but with hook ups at the mountain making it basically free, we figured, "Why not?"
Thinking he is the coolest thing ever because he gets to put the ski boots on with all the big boys!

This is what happens when I attempt to get good pics of my kids

A few tries later and they are both looking atleast!

The Gondola ride up the mountain:)

Riding the Magic Carpet on the kiddie hill:)

The fam! Grandma Crazy took the pic...she claims the sun was in her eyes and she didnt know                                               she was cutting of Keiths head.

 the first attempts with Easton:)

He caught on sooo fast!

and passed out just as fast!! He went home with Grandma after lunch:)

and we continued skiing the rest of the afternoon!
Madison, McKenzi, Keith, Amber, Noah, Kyle, Cory, Bonnie! Bree and Papa Hey were there too but apparently not for this picture:)

Christmas with the Blomquists

It was the Blomquist year for Christmas this year. So, after the holiday celebrations of the week we headed to the condo in Park City for Christmas weekend...

Christmas Eve Jammies

 Santas Delivery
Before the kids saw and destroyed...

Stockings are too heavy to hang once they are full:)
 The LOOT!!!
Checking out the Stockings while we wait for lazy uncles to get out of bed (Its almost 5AM...I don't know             what the problem is!! )

A Lego guy!

Sweet matching Mohawk hats:)

Imaginext Dinosaur

He looks like he is guarding the stock pile!

Its like a dinosaur and airplane combined!! Eastons 2 favorite things this year!

Spy Gear

A Hoodie with headphones in the ear of the hood and a Ipod jack in the pocket! Trash pack figurines and a Star Wars robe!!

The airplane/dino thing was the second thing he opened at this point...he could care less about anything else!

Ninjago

Despite the face...he has been asking for a camera for a couple years! It was one of his favorite gifts this year!

Motorcycles...he finally opened another gift!

Eastons "BIG" gift! 2 giant Tonka trucks! It was one of the last things he opened but one of his favorites!

MONEY!!!
Once all the present excitement faded...the boys loved the notes from Santa and Christopher PopInKins:)

I apparently rarely take pictures of Keith and myself. So, even though we arent in pictures...we were there and had a blast! Merry Christmas everyone:)

Wisemen Gifts

We have been trying to find a way to celebrate Christmas in a way that is still fun and magical for kids but that still keeps Christ in the forefront. With added consideration to keeping spending to a minimum...kinda:) So, this year we implemented wise men gifts. The idea being that the night before Christmas Eve we open Mom and Dad presents, Christmas Eve we open Wisemen presents (1 Want, 1 Need, and 1 Read) and read the story of Christs birth. Leaving Christmas day just for Santa. Because, lets be honest, at my kids ages they just dont spend the rush of Christmas morning thinking about much more than gifts:)

Wise Men Gifts

Read:) Eastons Dinosaur Train Look and Find and Noahs Diary of a Wimpy Kid Diary:) Take note that Noahs need was new jammies and he put them on IMMEDIATELY!

Wants:) Toy trains for Easton and a new DS case and movie for Noah

Lego puzzle that came with the DS case:)
Lovin his book:)

Eastons need was new church socks but you can imagine how excited he was about that one! So, no picture was even taken!! Hahaha:)
