4th Of July

Happy Independence Day!!

Our plans to go to the Whyte family reunion fell through so we stayed home with no certain plans. This is what we ended up doing...

Friday- We went to the city fireworks...kinda?? We don't enjoy the big crowd and traffic jam at the stadium with such young kids and can't see them real well from our yard so we found a road that went up the hill high enough up around Hyde Park and parked ourselves there. Just before the fireworks started one other car found our secret spot and stayed there also, but it was just the two of us and we were home in 5 minutes after the show!! :) PERFECT! We packed some snacks for the kids and brought some fireworks to do while we waited. Then we got out our camp chairs and watched the show. I seem to have deleted these pics:( I have plenty of the entire weekend but can't find the ones of our little family this night:(

Saturday- We didnt take any pictures this day either but Keith was able to get off work in time to go to dinner and a movie all together. We went to Wingers and Cars 2!!! Easton is VERY into Cars right now so he LOVED it!! I expected Noah to be all "Im to old for this" but he LOVED it too and has asked if we can go see it again:) It was a fun night and something we havent been able to do much lately as Keith works LATE LATE hours in the summer!!

Monday (actually the 4th)- We did MORE fireworks in our driveway with a couple neighbors. Noahs favorite part of the entire holiday is helping his Daddy light the fireworks. The neighborhood does a bunch together but there are too many kids to safely allow that then so, we have to have a pre-party night to allow Noah some "Play with fire time" Does anyone else see anything wrong with this??? Its alot like Halloween when we all of the sudden encourage our kids to go ask strangers for candy...seems wrong somehow?!?!?! But, OH SO FUN!!! :)

                                               SITTING ON THE CURB WATCHING!!!!
Jett is airbound!!! I love it:)
Noahs favorite part of the entire weekend:)

THE SPARKLERS

Monday- The real PARTY DAY!!! The neighborhood had a BBQ, Bike Parade, and Fireworks show!! This little shin dig seems to get bigger every year. THIS IS WHY WE LOVE LOVE LOVE WHERE WE LIVE!!!!!
THE EARLY GROUP...it got bigger later:)

                                                              THE BIKE PARADE
All the kids decorated their bikes and had a little parade up and down the street!!

Keith had to help Easton out a little but he was sooo excited!!!
