My Dear Sweet Noah,

Happy BDay Noah!!! 7 years old...it seems so big!!

Your still my sweet little man. Still super thin with a fantastic imagination. Reading is still one of your favorite things to do and it makes me soo proud! You have also taken an interest in Art this year. You enjoy making comic strips and doodling in your notebooks that you LOVE to get from the vending machine at school. You are probably the only 7 year old I know that can be satisfied with a book, notebook and pencil!! You started piano lessons this year with AnnMarie and you absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it! You never have to be reminded to practice and even spend extra time dinking around on the keyboard after your done. I am soo excited to keep watching you grow. You have the making of such an AMAZING young man!.
You just finished the 1st Grade at Summit Elementary. You adjust quickly and easily to a full day of school and started the year out great! By the end of the year you started to struggle to pay attention and stay in your seat but we didn't make much fuss because your teacher, Mrs. Anderson, was pregnant and you had a substitute for the last 2 months. The classroom was kinda crazy towards the end of the year. Your teacher was the kind of teacher that thought grass is green so you should color it that way and your the type to think it would be cooler of grass was orange and color it that way. We are hoping for a better suiting with Mrs. Daines next year. You are still fabulous at math and reading well ahead of your grade level. Your only struggles are handwriting and sitting still:) You are not much of a sweets eater. You will have a treat every now and then but you will eat more vegetable then anything else. You LOVE rice and will eat just about anything I mix up with it and I take advantage of it all the time:)
The Avengers just came out and you are almost always a superhero of some kind. The neighborhood boys will all come raid the dressup box and you all run around the neighborhood re-enacting the movie. I adore watching you all play together like that. You have lost interest in basketball and soccer but still love baseball.
We just got licensed to do foster care with hopes to adopt. Your request is a big brother to play with and a little sister so that I am not the only girl.
You are a great big brother and an even better helper for me! You and Easton are still figuring each other out. He is too young to really know the rules and you are just old enough to want to play in a totally different way then he does but you still try really hard to be patient and play well together. You guys seem to be on your way to being the best of friends and I really hope things stay that way. I CAN NOT believe the next time I write you this letter you will be getting baptized.
I love you more then you will ever know and I hope you will never doubt what an awe inspiring young man you are. You have the sweetest loving spirit and a genuine desire to make others happy. You are the best of friends with Alec Francis and make a great friend to anyone that will have you. You still claim to be "dating" Cora Checketts (whatever that means to a 1st grader) She isn't in your class next year so we will have to see how that plays out:)
I adore every moment that I am blessed to be your Mommy and look forward to everything in store for you.

Love ,
Mom
